Applications

MVP Research Online Assessment and Administrative/Reporting Tool

Developed an online human resource assessment tool for corporate clients to use with their employees. It is a questionnaire based tool that has extensive backend calculations based on the employees responses, and the tool provides detailed customized results in HTML and PDF report format.

Developed a backend administrative application to support the online assessment tool. The administrative application provides tiered access where functionality depends on a person’s role and user permissions. The admin application enables user management and creation of accounts, status of employee’s progress with the tool, numerous ways to report on the results and customized reporting. This tool (called the Roiter Report) has been used by several clients and hundreds of employees.

Beyond Work Online Assessment and Administrative/Reporting Tool

In conjunction with the book, Beyond Work: How Accomplished People Retire Successfully (Wiley 2008) worked with the Author, Dr. Bill Roiter in the creation of an online Retirement Confidence Profile tool. Two versions of the Retirement Confidence Profile tool are incorporated into the website, a quick 20 questions survey and a detailed 100 question survey. Results of the questions are summarized in an online report with recommendations correlating with sections of the book for reference. The tool is built in XHTML and PHP with MySQL used as the database.

Machine Vision Consulting - Bill of Materials (BOM) System

The Bill of Materials system is used by Machine Vision Consulting to track all equipment and software for each product/system sold. The front end of the system is built in XHTML, PHP, AJAX, and Javascript with the database being in MySQL.

Genuone Prototype with Configurable Database

Working prototype (using HTML, PHP and Javascript) of the system with a customizable database in MySQL to be used for sales and marketing.

Communities

Dugout Central: A WordPress based community website, with numerous customizations. The community is focused on those interested in writing and talking baseball: "where players, scouts, writers and fans come together to share facts, opinions and insights on the National Pastime. DugoutCentral articles are featured on FOXSports.com, SI.com and YESNetwork.com."

Portals

FAFCO Core Connection: A complex multifunctional online application for a manufacturing firm to communicate with its dealer network.

Designed and built two different portals (2003 and 2007) that enabled this manufacturer to track sales and lead data with their distribution and sales network. The first portal included: sales and lead tracking/management/reporting, lead territory management, a community forum, management dashboard, administrative/utility functions (accounts/user mgmt), an incentive application tied to sales, warrantee registration management, customer feedback survey reporting, a training module complete with tests and feedback, parts ordering, and a complex work flow module to support custom marketing mailer creation. The original Portal, built in 2003, is outdated in design, but has evolved in functionality and continues to be used in 2008.

A newer portal was built and launched in 2007. Designed to track leads and sales for a new product line and a different distributor network, it contained a subset of the original portal functionality with a new architecture, new graphic design and new and improved functionality.
