Website and Application Design and Development

Dannay Consulting works with you to understand your business model and position your website or business application to support your business objectives. With years of experience in Internet development and running customer service organizations, we can bring new ideas to the table and assist your organization in making decisions that can provide a competitive advantage.

We apply a structured development process to create high quality applications that deliver proven results. We provide complete web application development using the latest technologies and a design process focused on the customer experience.

A new corporate website can achieve many benefits, starting with increased traffic and customer leads and improved customer education on products and services. Likewise, a portal can achieve many benefits such as becoming a forum for the exchange of information. As a business to business resource it can be a center point of key business data, such as the effectiveness of marketing efforts and sales tracking data. A portal can be a dashboard into your business providing views into key indicators in multiple areas.

When Dannay Consulting builds a website or a business portal, we build a complete solution. Our project efforts include the following:

  • Requirements definition (may include scenario development)
  • Wire frame prototype that is used to identify:
    • Navigation (menu structure)
    • Page layout (rough location of images and copy)
    • High level content (bullets of what content will cover)
  • Graphics Design (can include logo development, branding, image creation or selection) - results are "look and feel"
  • Copy - text/words for each page
  • Prototype - combination of wire frame and graphics design, can include some functionality to validate requirements
  • Coded website - all development is done in HTML using PHP, MySQL, Javascript, etc as needed to complete required site functionality
  • Usability testing - depending on complexity and size may be formal or informal
  • Formal testing - complete site testing (requirements, systems, OS, browsers, etc).

The development of an application or portal also includes:

  • Report definition (e.g., formats for display and download of data)
  • Initial data load (e.g., directory information, news, calendar)
  • Initial configuration (e.g., user definition, access privileges, password setup)

The end result is a published website or application. We can provide site hosting, if needed.

Note, that the detail of each component is dependent on the depth and complexity of the site being development and the site's specific goals.
