Our Experience

Mr. Jeffrey Dannay is a Principal with Dannay Consulting and co-founder Machine Vision Consulting. He has over 20 years of management and software development experience. For Dannay Consulting he is the technical lead and architect as well as the expert in customer service consulting. With Machine Vision Consulting, he has led the growth of the company from start up to over a million dollars in revenue with 8 employees.

Prior to Machine Vision Cosnulting, Jeff directed a worldwide customer service organization of 80 engineers encompassing technical support, educational services and custom application development. He was responsible for $20M in revenue achieving a margin of greater than 50%.  He defined and led the transformation of the customer service organization to meet changing market needs while improving customer satisfaction.

Prior to that, as a manager of 40 engineering consultants, he managed a P&L and achieved a margin of greater than 40% while responsible for $5M world-wide revenue. He personally managed the growth of the organization from 12 to 40 engineers, expanding the group to cover five regions world-wide. He also contributed to and implemented the sales strategy for key customers, wrote technical proposals and provided quotes, negotiated $250K consulting contracts, and coordinated an international training program for all engineering consultants.

His strengths are in growing an organization, managing consultants, building/maintaining customer relationships, and process re-engineering in response to changing market conditions

Mr. Dannay holds a Master of Science, Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Bachelor of Science, Applied Mathematics from University Of Massachusetts.

Ms. Kathryn Dannay is a Principal at Dannay Consulting with 20 years of industry experience leading teams in the development of complex software applications, and 10 years of experience focused on the design and development of websites and Internet based applications. Her area of expertise is in user interface design — that is, in creating simple, clean, intuitive, and easy to use applications and websites.

Ms. Dannay has led software development teams and directed user interface design efforts on small to large projects. She has participated in large-scale initiatives at all levels (hands-on to management) and through all stages (proposal through final user acceptance testing). She has developed user interfaces for mission critical applications such as air traffic control systems for the FAA and missile launch systems for the USAF. She has designed and developed business websites and company portals and led teams through the development of highly complex Internet applications for financial institutions, multi media firms, and insurance companies.

Ms. Dannay's strengths are in understanding the larger business picture to insure the development of highly usable applications. She is adept at defining and then translating requirements into concrete concepts. She enjoys bringing complex concepts alive in prototypes and insuring their usability through iterative development and the application of human factors principles.

Ms. Dannay holds a Master of Science, Information Systems from Northeastern University and Bachelor of Science, Applied Psychology from Georgia Institute of Technology. Ms. Dannay is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute.
